Klondike Kate warms the cockles of the heart

Klondike Kate attended the Holden Lodge Sunday, Dec. 9 dressed in period costume to sing many nostalgic tunes for a delighted audience.

Klondike Kate paid a visit to Holden Lodge Sunday, Dec. 9 and created an atmosphere of delight which will long be remembered by residents.

Linda Atherton-Molnar, Klondike Kate from 2002-2004, came to entertain at the residents family Christmas party and Lodge Manager Lorna Rempel said the afternoon proved to be, “just simply delightful.”

“Klondike Kate was just fantansic. She had the crowd singing and on its feet. It was such fun,” Rempel said.

During her visit to the Lodge, Klondike Kate sang a number of golden oldies made famous by singers such as the late Patsy Cline and Canada’s own Anne Murray.
