15th Annual Tri-School basketball tournament saw an outstanding level of play over weekend

The Ryley/Viking Vixens (in dark jerseys) scuffle for the ball in a game against the St. Mary team of Westlock during the 15th Annual Tri-School Basketball tournament. The local team beat St. Mary 103-20.

The 15th annual Tri-School tournament was held over the past weekend in Tofield, Ryley, and Hay Lakes and the tournament featured many exciting games over the three days.

With eight boys’ teams and 16 of the top girls’ 1A teams in the province, the level of play was outstanding throughout the weekend. 

In the boys’ division, the Viking Norsemen emerged as the tournament champion after defeating Parkland Immanuel Christian Penguins in a low scoring final 48-34.
