RCMP attended a residence in Ryley the evening of Monday, Dec. 5 to investigate a complaint of an assault with a baseball bat, reports Sgt. Jim Warren.

When the police arrived, the suspect had already left but turned himself into the detachment the next day.

The man was charged with assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon, then released on conditions to attend court in Vegreville on Dec. 19.

Warren said the person assaulted suffered minor injuries.

Additional Charges Laid

Tofield RCMP have laid 48 additional charges against two individuals regarding property theft and break and enters into vehicles during the summer.
