Tofield Curling Club league action starts last week with new ice finally in place

The Tofield Curling Club is up and running with new ice after the installation of an ice-making plant was completed in late January. Regular league play has begun as of last week and the club looks forward to three bonspiels in the next two months.

It took until the beginning of February to get the ice on and ready for curling action, but it’s finally happened.

Local curlers are now participating in regular league games as of last Monday, Feb. 5 at the Tofield Curling Club.

Rink manager Doug Hardy confirmed that the curling action began last week.

The men’s league takes to the ice Monday, followed by the Ladies on Tuesday, the organizational league on Wednesday, and the afternoon drop-in curling on Thursday.
