The Tofield Christmas Farmers’ Market and the Tofield and Area Health Services Foundation Supper were both an opportunity to thank individuals for their contributions over the year.

The events were held on Friday, Dec. 9 at the Tofield Community Hall.

The Christmas Farmers’ Market is an annual event. Organizer Yvonne Brown presented a poinsettia to Katie Baergen, who was an original stall owner for the Tofield Market since 1972 and is now retiring. The two old friends hugged during this formal farewell.

Later at the Foundation Supper, Brown thanked Robin McDaniel, who was retiring as treasurer of the Health Foundation board.

“Robin did one fantastic job for us,” said Brown.
