Satellites have greatest season ever but still not enough to stop North Stars from winning BRHL title 19

Tofield Satellites had its greatest season ever, starting out 7-0, finishing third, and going on a 9 game run eliminating Sedgewick and Provost in the playoffs before dropping the final series to Daysland North Stars in six games.

Satellites qualified for the finals and won its first two games against the heavily favoured two-time defending champion Daysland North Stars but eventually the gave way losing the BRHL final series 4-2.

The 8-3 victory in game 6 was played at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park, due to Tofield Arena preparations for the Bull Bash, drew a good crowd to witness the North Stars unbelievable 19th Battle River Hockey League championship, Friday.

Both teams may run into each other again next weekend as each qualified for Senior AA Provincials in Innisfail.
