First doctor agrees to practice in Tofield

DoctorComing-Maneer — Dr. Muneer signed an agreement April 15 to set up practice in Tofield bringing the number of doctors practicing to two once he arrives in an expected time of about six months.

The first doctor who was scouted for Tofield by a headhunter company has decided to come back and set up practice.

Dr. Mohammed Muneer signed an agreement on Monday, April 15, and he is expected to arrive sometime in the fall.

The bad news is that until he arrives, emergency after-hours care will be cut back at the Tofield Health Centre because Alberta Health Services (AHS) cannot find doctors to cover in the interim.
