The banquet and graduation ceremonies for the Ryley Class of 2013 was full of fun and good times, with some touching moments interspersed, making it a memorable event for all who attended.

Celebrating to the theme, “We Played Our Cards Right!,” the 18 graduates and their family and friends gathered at the Ryley Community Centre Saturday.

Fred Yachimec acted as Master of Ceremonies for both the banquet and the exercises. Kathy Scheu gave the Blessing prior to the banquet, served by Gretha’s Kitchen with help from the Senior Boys’ Volleyball Team. Corinne Story gave the toast to the graduates, Damon Lutz gave the toast to the staff, and Carissa Knudson gave the toast to the parents. Replying to that toast were Tim and Verleen Knudson.

Local officials also brought greetings, including trustee Rebecca Heiberg, Ryley Mayor Cyndy Heslin and Holden Mayor Christine Mackay.
