Classic Show n’ Shine makes impressive display on Main Street Tofield

Once again, the Tofield Lions Club succeeded in delivering a Show n’ Shine on main street Monday, Aug. 5. The 11th Annual Heritage Classic brought in people from around the region to see a myriad of makes and models of cars, trucks and motorcycles.

“We have an awesome turnout,” said Lion member and organizer Darryl Romaniuk, with around 200 entries this year.

“A vehicle can be restored 100 times but it’s only original once,” said a sign in front of Albert Domshy’s 1979 Brougham Chrysler New Yorker in original blue interior and exterior paint. The car is just as it was when it came out of the factory, he said, adding he “could sleep in here,” referring to the original plush seating. Then he invited people to sit inside and see for themselves.

The main street was full of people for the entire afternoon, enjoying food and ice cream while looking at all the vehicles on display.
