Icon of St. Joseph the Worker on display church

St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tofield was honoured to have the icon of St. Joseph the Worker on display at the church from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6. St. Francis is one of only 78 parishes to be graced wtih the opportunity to display the icon for all to see, said parishioner Bonnie Oliver. The icon’s next stop was the Holy Rosary Parish in Edmonton for the next week. The icon was commissioned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton in honour of its 100th anniversary. The work was done by iconographer Andre Prevost, and is now travelling to the parishes within the archdiocese before being permanently installed in the Basilica.
