Holden Council discusses improving communications – ways to convey information such as snow removal guidelines

Holden-SnowHill

Village of Holden councillors discussed updating or improving communications at their regular council meeting Nov. 18, including ways to convey information on snow removal to residents.

Several residents have asked the village about snow removal issues, said CAO Katherine Whiteside.

Council considered the idea of putting up sandwich boards to notify residents when certain streets were going to be cleared as a heads up that vehicles needed to be taken off the street during that time.

However, Whiteside said that most residents readily cooperate when they hear the snow grader coming near and remove their vehicle. “We just work with the people.”
