County chooses site for west end truck fill

After an in-camera session at the Jan. 15 meeting of Beaver County Council, councillors passed a motion to approve an offer to purchase six acres of land near Highway 14 and S.H. 833 intersection for the purpose of building a water truck fill station in the county’s west end.

Public Works Director Darby Dietz said the final option chosen for a truck fill site is actually a combination of two other options. The site chosen is south of Highway 14 on Twp. Rd. 510, about one-third of a mile west of S.H. 833.

This site lies between two other sites that were being considered, including one near the Lindbrook Transfer Station south of Highway 14 and another at the intersection of S.H. 833 and Highway 14.
