Tofield Satellites find themselves in a bit of jeopardy after dropping both home games in its Battle River Hockey League (BRHL) best-of-seven semi-final series against Hardisty Stampeders last week.

First place Tofield had a first round bye and hadn’t played in almost three weeks by the time its series with Hardisty began last Wednesday at Tofield Arena.

Satellites lost that first game 3-2 but rebounded with a 3-1 win at Hardisty on Friday. In keeping with the spirit of the series, the home team lost again in Tofield 6-5 on Saturday in overtime.

Tofield’s normally effective special teams seem to have been hurt most by the break in play since this series began. The penalty killers have allowed three goals, but the powerplay is 0 for the series.

In game one the Satellites fell behind 2-0 but clawed back despite playing a choppy game marred by turnovers.
