Beaver Council asks how much say a councillor has on the amount of gravel that goes on a road

County-Council

Beaver County Council passed its 2014 policies for brush control, roadside mowing, and weed control at the regular meeting of council March 21.

But the discussion sparked a debate about how much control councillors have over what is done in their own divisions when it comes to these policies.

Reeve Arnold Hanson (Division 5) stated that the policies had all been addressed with council present at the last Agricultural Service Board meeting.

“It was discussed quite fully there,” said Hanson. This was followed by the passing of a motion on brush control.
