Holden woman “cool as a cucumber” when learning of $100,000 win

According to the Alberta Lottery Fund, Holden resident Adelle Story remained as cool as a cucumber when told she had won $100,000 on the Extra lottery game.

“I said, ‘This cannot be,’” recalled Story in a Jan. 16 press release.

“I called my husband and told him, ‘Don’t have a heart attack, but I won quite a bit of money.’

Everyone around me was all excited but I remained pretty calm.”
