Tofield Satellites’ general manager Jeremy Thom said he has made the steps necessary to ice another competitive Senior AA hockey team for the Battle River Hockey League’s (BRHL) 2014/15 season, and now all he needs is some more help in the form of board members.

The former standout goaltender for the Satellites took over management duties last season, though he has been a leader and promoter of the Satellites for many years.

“We’re going to have a meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Arena, and it will determine if we have enough help to move forward,” said Thom, hoping for a large group of volunteers to show.

He added that the commitment is small, and the more people they have on the board the more resources the team will have when they need help here and there. Most of the help required is on game days, and Tofield only has 10 regular season home dates.
