Ryley Leadership Program students fundraise for worthy projects with “Dessert Night/Silent Auction”

Leadership-DessertNight

Students of the Ryley School Leadership Program held a fundraiser called “Leadership Dessert Night“ on Thursday, Nov. 20, hosted by the Ryley Community Centre.

The goal of the event was to raise funds for the less fortunate in local communities and in Mexico.

The highly successful evening featured live and silent auctions, entertainment and delicious desserts. Ryley School Vice-Principal Matthew Spronk said the funds raised would be going towards helping others in the community and province by feeding the homeless, elderly and sick.

Also, the team will head off to Mexico in the summer of 2015 to build a house for a needy family.
