Recognizing some of the achievements of Tofield citizens and organizations was the theme of Friday’s Health Services Foundation fundraising banquet, but the most famous person at the celebration was no doubt guest of honour Joey Moss from the Edmonton Oilers.

Beaver County Reeve and foundation board member Kevin Smook was M/C for the evening and did an excellent job of finding and introducing dozens of local dignitaries present in support of the worthy cause. He also introduced Cole McCartney from Tofield, who won Provincials with the Augustana volleyball team and represented Alberta at Nationals.

Also at the banquet were representatives from the Tofield Titans provincial basketball team, the Atom hockey team which earned a trip to Provincials; as well as the Pee Wee hockey team which hosted Provincials at Tofield Arena.
