Don’t Hibernate Fair a one-stop shopping night for information

Hibernate-Karate

It’s that time of year again when people are wondering what they can do to occupy those cold fall and winter months.

The perfect opportunity to find out was this year’s Don’t Hibernate Fair, which ran from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tofield Community Hall last Thursday evening.

With school starting and the official end of summer coming up this month, groups and organizations offered a one-stop information night for activities for youth, adults and seniors.

This year there were up to 23 vendors, including hockey, 4-H and Karate as some of the popular tables visited.

Organizer Vanita Eglauer explained that the crowd wasn’t as large this year as some of the organizations held ongoing and/or pre-registrations, such as minor hockey in early June.
