Rural postal delivery deadline looms large

The deadline is looming and some rural residents have yet to register their new municipal address so they can receive mail as of Feb. 15.

This will mean they won’t get mail service after that date. To complicate matters, others who have done their due diligence and registered their new address failed to receive an expected letter from Canada Post.

Possibly due to a break-in at Tofield’s post office on Feb. 1, there are rural residents who haven’t received these letters.

But Beaver County residents who have failed to register for their new municipal addressing may not realize they will get no mail delivery service if they don’t do so. They will also not get…
