C.W. Sears students gather up items for evacuees

The students at C.W. Sears Elementary School spent a week gathering items for Fort McMurray evacuees and raising funds for the Red Cross.

The Grade 1D class held a rice krispie fundraiser and raised $540 by selling rice krispie squares for $1 each.

On Friday, May 13 the school held a Pizza Day and raised $400 for the Red Cross. A local restaurant generously dropped the price and gave staff a free pizza to help out with the bottom line.
