Tofield RCMP report multiple break-ins to rural mail boxes

On July 5, 2016 RCMP received a call of a theft of a truck from Tofield, Alberta. A white F150 was parked at the UFA parking lot over the weekend. When the owner returned, he found the vehicle was missing. RCMP are still investigating.

On July 5, 2016 RCMP received a call of a theft from a mailbox from a rural address in Beaver County near RRD 185.

The home owner heard a MV stopping at mailboxes. When he went to investigate the matter, he found his mail in a pile a short distance from the residence. On July 6, 2016 two more residents in the area reported their mail had also been stolen. The suspect MV is described as a white truck.

On July 7, 2016 RCMP were notified of thefts from vehicles which had occurred in Tofield.

Items stolen included wallet and cell phones. RCMP were able to identify several youths who admitted to the offences and some property has been returned to the owner. Charges have been laid however their names can’t be released as they are young persons… for more see the July 12/16 Mercury.
