FCSS moving to Tofield town office – $20,000 authorized for renovations

fcss-office-copyAfter a period of uncertainty, the Tofield/Ryley/Beaver County West office of Family and Community Social Services has found a new home.

FCSS will relocate to the second floor of the Tofield Town Office as of Jan. 3, 2017.

The staff will be packing up and moving from their current location in a private office complex between Dec. 19 and 30th.

The FCSS board is comprised of a representative from each of the municipalities, but the Town of Tofield is the authorized administrator with town CAO Cindy Neufeld and town Assistant CAO Jeff Edwards overseeing the social service agency.

The move was made necessary when Alberta Child and Family Services decided to pull out of the current location and move back to Camrose. FCSS was subletting a portion of the building from Children’s Services, which was the prime leaseholder.
