Master of Ceremonies Gene Hrabec and RCW President Brenda Oancia set the mood for the celebration by honouring the local RCMP who help to keep communities in Beaver County safe.

“I’d really like to thank you and your members for the job you do in the community,” Hrabec said to Sgt. Jim Warren, who overseas Viking and Tofield RCMP detachments.

Referring to the recent shootings of two RCMP officers in Killam, Hrabec said the incident “echoes how important you are and how you never know.”
