RCMP reports break-ins, quad issues, highway arrest

On April 19, Tofield RCMP recovered a stolen vehicle hidden in some trees at the north end of 52 Street in Ryley. Cpl. Dave Brosinsky reports that the vehicle had originally been stolen in Edmonton and children playing in the area found it.

“It was probably there for days but was well hidden,” he said. There was extensive front end damage so it was likely in an accident. Anyone who saw anything or knows how the vehicle got to be there is asked to phone the RCMP.

On April 24, RCMP recovered a trailer that had been stolen in Edmonton. The trailer was found in some trees off R.R. 192.

“The question is why we are finding it out here,” said Brosinsky. The trailer was dusty and dirty but not damaged, and contained miscellaneous tools.
