Tofield Council upset outreach worker funding denied by Battle River School Division

Town Council is efficient and productive during their meetings. The following is a re-cap of some agenda items discussed during the month of April:

Brenda Oancia, President of Rural Crime Watch, addressed council with a request for $26 for two Rural Crime Watch signs to be placed on the entry roads into Tofield.

Oancia briefed council on the ongoing work of the organization and commented that once trained to spot crime, the vigilance is hard to keep down.

“It doesn’t matter where I go, I’m on the lookout”, explained Oancia.
