Johnny Cash tribute artist appearing at Wild Oats & Notes Music Festival – David James makes homecoming return with his Big River Band

David James is returning to Tofield to perform with his Big River Band at the Wild Oats & Notes Music Festival after leaving when he was just 13.

James grew up on a small farm in the Tofield area with his parents, Gabe and Nancy Pittet, who ran the local hardware store.

James is considered the best of the best when it comes to paying tribute to the music and legend of Johnny Cash. He doesn’t just impersonate Cash, he practically is Cash, say those who have seen him perform.

And the organizers are excited to have him perform Friday night at the Schultz family farm, the site of the festival, starting at 9 p.m.
