Tofield Bull Bash rated top event in 2011 by elite bullriders – second annual bash expected to be even bigger and better

PATRICIA HARCOURT PHOTO Tofield's first annual Bull Bash was so highly successful that the elite bullriders voted it the top event for 2011. One example of the bullriding action that night was Justin Siemens bolting out of the chute at the Tofield Arena.

It may have been the first Tofield Bull Bash last year, but the event was so successful even the cowboys rated it number one.

The inaugural bash placed as the top event in Canada as voted on by the top bullriders of the Elite Professional Bullriders (EPB). The award was to be presented last weekend during the EPB finals in Butte, Montana.

Tofield bullrider and Tofield Bull Bash organizer, Curtis Neufeld, called the award “pretty exciting, especially as this was the first year it was held.”

The next bull bash in Tofield is scheduled for Friday, April 6, or on the Good Friday of Easter weekend.
