SATELLITES CONSIDERING PRESSING CHARGES

UNBELIEVABLY PLAY WENT ON, SABRES SCORED, AND NO PENALTY WAS ASSESSED AS REF MISSED ENTIRE THING!

A Sedgewick Sabres player skating to the bench after his shift, gave unsuspecting Tofield back-up goalie Jeremy Thom a punch to the head at the bench that sent the Tofield Satellites’ player plummeting backwards where he hit his head against the player’s box wall and crashed down to the floor.

Thom, who has been the victim of some terrible concussions in his hockey career, was shaking and twitching on the ground as team trainer Dr. John Neufeld was quick to attend to his injury.

RCMP Constable Brian Jamont was over in a flash to help out, take control of the scene, and was a calming factor for upset players. Arena staff came over to help out, as Dr. Neufeld stablized the veteran Satellites’ player.

EMS were called, and Thom was loaded onto a stretcher dazed but awake, and taken to Tofield Hospital for observation. Later in the game word came that Thom was recovering, upright and moving about. It is unclear if he will play for the rest of the series.

Constable Brian Jamont and Tofield Satellites management attend to fallen goaltender Jeremy Thom who was down at the bench after the ugly incident.
