Breanne Jackson competes in Canspell Spelling Bee – Tofield student lasts five rounds and ranks 20th out of 50 competitors

Tofield School Grade 7 student Breanne Jackson lasted five rounds and ranked 20th overall at the regional Canspell spelling bee in Edmonton Feb. 18th.

Breanne competed against 50 other students across the region from Grades 4 through 8.

This year’s Edmonton regional competition was won by Jackson Hunter, a Grade 7 student from Fultonvale School. He will return to try again in Toronto after competing nationally last year as a Grade 6 Ministik School student from Strathcona County.
