With school division set to tear down old playground in July, funds must be in place by end of June for new playground

The committee for a new playground at C.W. Sears School in Tofield is asking for the community’s help as it heads into “crunch time” on its fundraising journey.
The committee has managed to raise $30,000 to this point. But that won’t be nearly enough to make the new playground a reality.
They have pinned their hopes on receiving a Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) grant of $125,000 through the Tofield Agricultural Society. However, the key to receiving this grant is to have matching funds in place by the time a decision must be made in June.
