Loose Ends Column – Carol Livingstone “Is It Just Me?”

Is it just me or are we having more windy days than usual? Whenever I mention that possibility to anyone, the responses I get contain either references to “climate warming” or the words “your imagination.”

Climate warming is blamed for everything these days, and for good reason. And I guess if it can melt glaciers and cause the polar bears’ natural habitat to shrink alarmingly, then it could be responsible for the winds in central Alberta to blow more frequently.

But I’m pretty sure that my imagination isn’t what’s buffeting our house, making the window panes rattle, and turning my so-so hairstyle into a giant scary afro as soon as I step outside.

Is it just me or is there something wrong with a bevy of rich, nip and tucked, Botoxed, unnatural blondes in Vancouver calling themselves “real housewives?”
