Tofield Minor Hockey awards night honours players and teams
On March 29, the Tofield Minor Hockey Association held their Annual Awards Night. This is an evening when all of the teams are able to celebrate their accomplishments with the whole association and recognize some well deserving players for their individual achievements.
The Tom Thumb teams had a very enjoyable year. The team had a lot of new skaters and great strides were made teaching all those little players some new skills.
The Novice 1 team, coached by Stan Yuha, had a very fun year, with the team finishing the season only two goals short of the consolation banner in their tier. The Novice 2 team, coached by Wayne Codd, also had a very successful year, bringing home their tier’s banner.
The Atom 1 team, coached by DJ Radmanovich, had a strong showing in their Provincial playdowns, winning a spot at the Provincial Tournament in Marwayne. Their Most Improved player was Mitchell Gates, the Most Dedicated player was Kody Prusak, and Most Sportsmanlike was Andy Radmanovich.
The Atom 2 team, coached by Gilles Daigle, finished 2nd in their tier at the end of the regular season. The Most Improved award was given to Daniel Romaniuk, the Most Dedicated award went to Ryan Daigle, and the Most Sportsmanlike award was won by Declan Mullin.
