Beaver Municipal Solutions holds open house
Officials invited from near and far to hear future plans and take a tour of the landfill
Beaver Municipal Solutions (BMS) is projecting a new image along with its name.
Formerly called Beaver Regional Waste Management Services, the new name and logo are just part of the changes being introduced by Pierre Beau, general manager and chief administrative officer of BMS for the past year.
The regional landfill is located off Secondary Highway 854 just northeast of the Village of Ryley. An open house was held on Friday, Sept. 14 to showcase the new shop facility while offering tours of the landfill, which is growing into a landfill for more and more waste material from Edmonton and other sources.
Beaver County Reeve Bob Young also serves as chair of the BMS board of directors. Young stresses that the local communities are receiving a good deal with BMS handling their garbage.
The five-person board is composed of elected officials from each local jurisdiction, including Beaver County, the towns of Tofield and Viking, and the villages of Ryley and Holden.
