Holden Communities in Bloom wins second provincial award in a row
Village of Holden Communities in Bloom Committee (CIB) is celebrating another provincial award. For the second year in a row, Holden has achieved top spot in their population category (1-500).
This year, the village earned five blooms, the highest number possible. Committee members are proud of their award, but are quick to credit the many residents who have caught the spirit of community pride and participated in various ways.
The judges agreed, as noted in their comments, “The citizens of Holden obviously care as there were pots, baskets and planters everywhere. They were well kept and showy. Good job to all.”
Special mention was given by the CIB Judges for floral displays. The program emphasizes, though, that it’s not just about flowers.
