Commission hires new regional fire chief

Cindy Conroy has been named Regional Fire Chief, Regional Director of Emergency Management. 

Chief Conroy fills the position  which was left vacant when former Regional Fire Chief David Zayonce, resigned in April.

Shortly after Zayonce resigned, Conroy who was serving as Deputy Regional Fire Chief, tendered her resignation to accept the position of Deputy Fire Chief in Wetaskiwin.  
     
However, according to Arnold Hanson, Divis-on 5 Councillor with Beaver County and a Commissioner with the Beaver Emergency Services Commission, Con-roy’s application was among the 16 received to fill the position of Regional Fire Chief.
