Sidewalks poured on Tofield’s main street
Raiders Concrete employees worked flat out last week, pouring concrete on the east side of main street in Tofield while turning their attention to digging up old sidewalk on the west side.
“Since the last update there has been a great deal of progress with both the removal of the old paving stone sidewalks, conduit for power (installed) to the new light posts, and the pouring of new sidewalks,” reports the town’s Assistant CAO Jeff Edwards. “The process has moved along quite well and the progress is evident.
“The east side of the street at this point should see the standard grey coloured, broom finish concrete poured by Friday, Sept. 20,” he said, a prediction which turned out to be true as of Friday afternoon. Plus, Edwards said….
