Upgrade work proceeds on west side of main street in Tofield

With sidewalks in place on the east side, upgrade work in downtown Tofield started in earnest last week on the west side of main street.

As with the east side, the old paving stone sidewalks have been removed, and a ditch dug to put in electrical cable for power for the new light posts (coming later).

Raiders Site Services employee Stephanie Voaklander was busy palletting the bricks to be removed for later resale.

“They’re still in good shape even thought they’re 30 years old,” she said.
