Three local girls compete at Alberta Winter Games in Banff and Canmore
Three Tofield girls competed in the 2014 Alberta Winter Games in Banff and Canmore for Zone 7.
They were part of 2,200 athletes and coaches who took part in the Games, a premier multi-sport event for youth from Feb. 6-9. The athletes range in age from 11 to 17, and qualified through their zone playoffs to attend the Games.
The opening ceremonies were held on Banff Avenue Feb. 6. Then three days of competition took place in alpine skiing, biathlon, figure skating, hockey and speed skating.
