Crime Watch honours RCMP at annual dinner

President says loss of enhanced policing position means officer staff load to increase

It was a night to remember at the Beaverhill Rural Crime Watch’s annual dinner and auction Saturday as all the members of the Tofield RCMP were celebrated with a ceremony and plaque presentation.

Crime Watch President Brenda Oancia said the organization, which traditonally works so closely with the local RCMP, felt the officers and staff deserved a formal appreciation for all the work they do on behalf of the citizens of the area.
