Beaver County Council approves design/build contract for West End Truck Fill Station project
The West End Truck Fill Station has taken another step towards fruition as of April 16 when Beaver County Council approved the design/build contract with the Highway 14 Regional Water Services Commission.
The commission is in charge of managing the construction for the project. With this contract in place, “the commission assumes the role of contractor and is responsible for the purchase of supplies and hiring of subcontractors,” said Assistant CAO Margaret Jones in her report.
“The county makes payments on the contract as per its usual procedure.
“In addition, the county will continue to administer the planning, road crossing and utility approvals, communicate with area residents and prepare the site for construction.”
