Tofield Golf Course to build campground
“If you build it, they will come,” so the saying goes, and plans are in the works to build a campground that will lure the RV crowd to the Tofield Golf Course.
Golf Course owner Vern Kallal is in the process of moving three golf holes on the green to make way for a new RV campground. It will have 50 sites for campers, both seasonal and daily availability, along with four group sites. There will be power services, a recreation area/park, as well as washrooms and showers onsite.
The work is underway to relocate Holes 7, 8 and 9 before installing the campground. “We have to do renovations on the course,” said Kallal.
“We have to do the renovations on the course first. I don’t want to interrupt the regular play we’ve got going now.”
