Tofield girl competing in soccer at 2014 Alberta Summer Games

As July heats up, so too does preparation for the 2014 Alberta Summer Games, which Tofield’s own Bryanna Kauffman will be attending.

Kauffman, 10, will be heading to Airdrie July 24-27 to compete in the Games as the youngest  member and representative of the Zone 7 girls’ soccer team. To earn this spot, Kauffman participated in tryouts and was one of 18 players chosen.

Kauffman said, “There were so many emotions going through my head, jumping for joy, excited, and nervous, but then I thought to myself, my favourite Bible verse, ‘I can do all things though Christ who gives me strength,’ Philippians 4:13, and then I just smiled. Yes, I can do this and this is going to be fun.”
