Summer Ball Club gives kids chance to enjoy the game

For Leann Strilchuk, the game of ball is something she wants to introduce to local kids, who haven’t had the opportunity to play it for some time.

The Summer Ball Club will run from July 8 to Aug. 21, and is $20 per child for the entire session.

Tuesday night of last week was the first game for kids born in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Twenty-five kids came out for this younger group.

Thursday night, 12 kids born in the years 2002, 2003 and 2004 gathered at Ball Diamond No. 4 to learn and play this most popular sport.
