RCMP Musical Ride performs at Bruce Stampede
The 101st Bruce Stampede was a three-day extravaganza that included a concert by Tiffany Dowham and Randy and Rai Smith Friday night, a local rodeo Saturday, rodeo dance Saturday night, pony chuckwagon and chariot races plus mule racing, and a huge parade Sunday morning.
It was topped off by a CPRA/PRCA approved professional rodeo Sunday afternoon using Franklin Rodeo stock and North America’s top cowboys competing for prize money totalling $21,000. The announcer was Brett Gardner.
One of the highlights of this hugely popular weekend was a special performance by the RCMP Musical Ride, which took place after the parade on the rodeo grounds prior to the pro rodeo events.
There were many other activities and events, though, such as pancake breakfasts, a children’s tent, old-time country band jam session, Christian cowboy gospel service, beer gardens and much more.
