Tofield Legion memorial golf tournament great success for second year
The Tofield Legion’s second annual Rick Berezan/Hugh Carter Memorial Open Golf Tournament was a great success on Saturday with 52 golfers and 13 teams playing 18 holes on the nine course golf course at the Tofield Golf Course.
A shotgun start at 9:45 a.m. culminated in all the golfers finishing by 3:15 p.m. Afterwards, everyone retired to the Legion for a steak fry meal with all the trimmings.
This is the second annual memorial tournament, but the Legion has been hosting a golf tournament for many years prior to this.
“It doesn’t really make a lot of money but they like it because it’s a lot of fun,” said Legion President Barb Ferguson. “Thank you to everyone and our sponsors for making this a wonderful day.”
