Tofield community gathers for 39th Annual Awards Night 2014
The community gathered on Thursday, Oct. 9 to recognize the students of Tofield School who have excelled in the 2013-2014 school year.
The ceremonies took place this year at the Tofield Mennonite Church with several local officials on hand – plus an honoured guest.
Former Premier Ed Stelmach, who also served as this area’s local MLA until his retirement, attended to hand out the Ed Stelmach Community Foundation Scholarship, the first of an annual scholarship.
Other guests included Tracey Boast Radley, trustee for the Battle River School Division; Kevin Smook, Division 1 Councillor for Beaver County; Harold Conq-uest, Mayor of Tofield; and Jacquie Fenske, MLA for Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville.
Nash Winder and Kayla Hunt were Masters of Ceremony for the evening.
