No charges in accident at Francis Point
There will be no charges laid in an investigation into the accident which took place Nov. 8 at Francis Point just east of Tofield.
RCMP Sgt. Doug Coleman confirmed the incident happened that day between 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
“A car was driving in and swerved around another vehicle,” said Colemen, before going off the road. The vehicle hit a windbreak and a picnic table.
“It was reported and it was investigated,” said Coleman. “The person reported it as required by law.” Francis Point is a spot where people like to go for walks, take their dogs out, watch birds and generally enjoy nature.
Dave Collyer went out to tend to his birdfeeders at the spot and discovered an RCMP officer looking at the damage. Collyer reported on Facebook that at the time there was “tremendous damage (with) lumber and auto parts scattered everywhere.”
