Tofield girl makes Team Canada’s Junior Rollerderby roster – Hwy. 14 Roller Derby Association teammates very proud of her

For someone so young who has only been competing in junior roller-derby for the past year, Fallaine Matula of Tofield has come a long way in a short time.

The 16-year-old has just been accepted on Team Canada’s Junior Roller Derby roster to compete in the 2015 World Cup.

“I’m really excited,” said Fallaine, last Friday after the official announcement was made. She had known two days before but was sworn to secrecy until Team Canada named everyone on the team.

“I really wanted to tell all my friends and my family,” she said. “It’s so exciting to me and I wanted to share it with everyone.”
