Volunteers “Stuff the Bus” for hamper program

With the beautiful blue skies, it was hard to believe a strong storm had blown through the day before, but the Stuff the Bus volunteers were out in force Saturday despite the freezing temperatures.

The campaign took place all day with volunteers accepting food, gifts and monetary donations that will help make a brighter Christmas for many in local communities.

Braving the bone-chilling cold that day were Community Christmas Hamper Program Co-chairs Greg Litwin and Cheryi Stelkovics, along with IGA owner/operator Dave Hare.

Many people purchased the re-packaged “Hamper of Hope” bags. The IGA was matching donations to the Christmas Hamper Program the entire day of Saturday.
